“Compress and decompress files quickly and easily”
PeaZip is a file compression and decompression tool that helps to reduce the size of large files.
Using the program is a pleasant experience - at the most basic level, add the files you want to compress/decompress using the file explorer on the right and chose the action you want from the main toolbar or by right clicking. The PeaZip interface is fresh and easy-to-use with a few built-in themes to spice things up.
Right-clicking on a file or folder and choosing Add to archive or Browse path with PeaZip will also provide direct access to the program's factions. The compression/decompression process is very quick and smooth, and there are impressive advanced options for users who want to get a little more technical.
Among the best of these advanced PeaZip features are the encryption/password options, compression variables, and the File tools, which allow you to split files, join them and even view the checksum files. PeaZip really impressed us - it's a top-class program that performs at a really high level, and is a worthy rival to apps such as WinZip or 7Zip.
PeaZip is a fantastic program for all your compressing/decompressing needs.

PeaZip is a free, open source (LGPLv3) file and archive manager for Windows (32 and 64 bit) and Linux, for both systems it is available both as installable package and a portable software (not needing installation, not modifying the host system). Create 7Z, ARC, BZ2, GZ, *PAQ, PEA, QUAD/BALZ, TAR, UPX, ZIP Extract 134 archive types: ACE, ARJ, CAB, DMG, ISO, LHA, RAR, UDF, ZIPX and many more... PeaZip allows to create, convert and extract multiple archives at once; create self-extracting archives; split/join files (file span); apply powerful multiple search filters to archive's content; scan and open with custom applications compressed and uncompressed files.
PeaZip features file management functions like bookmarking, thumbnail viewer, secure deletion, random passwords generation, and file hashing.
PeaZip introduces an innovative and easy to use archive composing interface, similar to CD burning layout composing. The software is security oriented, supporting strong encryption, optional two factor authentication, secure file deletion, and generation of random passwords. It also provides an easy way to export job definition as batch script files, to automate backup operations, or fine tune tasks beyond GUI's capabilities, or for learning purpose.

Very good software!
It's a resourceful archiver which can handle many archive formats and perform very specific tasks as encryption, checksum and file split... and it's free.
